Prawn Or Shrimp?
I was having my supper(Hokkien Mee) last night.While enjoying it i came across few prawns,then dont know why suddenly this question just pop up in my mind.Why some people call prawn while other call shrimp?Well i saw some menu in restaurant put it either prawn or shrimp.Although i did ate prawn( or whathever it is call shrimp)all my life but i dont really dont know how to differentiate a prawn and a shrimp.So i try to ask my family member.Hahahaha....all also dumb like me and could not gave me any answer.So i try to call few of my damned smart buddies who are real professional and damn good in english(well they could speak english sound like Englishman cos years of living and studied oversea....not like me only studied locally)I try to ask them if they could show me how to differentiate the prawn to a shrimp.Some gave me answer like shrimp is a small prawn ("Heh Kia"...like Cencaluk)Some said well some country use the term as shrimp while other call it prawn.One buddy lagi celaka,he said well when people call shrimp we also follow lor,and when people call prawn we also do lor....really "Gai Lor"professional summore.....hehehehe.I think his certificate he bought one from oversea.
Think of it no matter what it call there is often confusion regarding the difference between a shrimp and a prawn.Physically when we look at them they look very similar.I bet there is sure a way to tell them apart..right?Since there not much help although i did call up to my "so call professional buddies but gave me some unprofessional answer.The only option left is by searching the answer through net(I should have done that in the first place).Well after for sometime go through the search engine with just two keywords...that is prawn and shrimp.I browsed page by page until i came to this site (Lucky me:-))who really explain in very detail about the Prawn and Shrimp.It written that there is a way to tell them a part.
In prawn (or Penaeidae in sci-fi term)have all the abdominal side plates overlapping tile-like from front .While shrimp(or caridean in sci-fi term)the side plate of the second segment of the abdomen overlaps the segments in front and behind.Its also stated that the easy way to identify them is that prawn are more curvy then shrimp in shape.Last but not least the site also said that most American refer to prawn as "shrimp".While Australian do seperately call "prawn and "shrimp" by their kind.Anyway if anyone do have more info on these kindly share with me ya?

The Day Of The "Chicken Boxing"
Today Kim Moo said she is coming to Penang and will be arriving at my home about 12.30pm.Wait and wait almost 1pm still not yet arriving.Later she called that she will be late a bit.After about 30 minutes she came and brought with her the "Chicken Boxing" brand Dried Chicken Meat(Kiew Brothers)...my all time favourite:-)Call Laksa to come out and met us at New World Foodcourt for lunch.Then after dropped by at my home and chit chat for awhile,we all headed to New World since its almost 1pm plus and Kim Moo is rushing back to KL at 4pm later...me also a bit confuse of why she came to Penang and left so hurry.Anyway its ok ,young people full or energy.After just arrived at the place.Our PGHK's Taugeh call to Kim Moo.....wah so fast already he missed Kim Moo?Hahahaha.Kim Moo later passed the handphone for me to spoke to him.We later met Laksa and her cute Ian.He look so cheeky and damn active(cannot sat tight)Lucky Laksa did tied him to the baby trolley,,,,,hahahahahaThen we all "Kap Kap" and order some food to eat.At there i manage to shot some pictures and also video clip which i am sharing here.So after about nearly 3pm we call it a day.With Kim Moo going off with her friend.Laksa with Ian to find her friend and well me and my wife drive back and do this posting....lol.Another great day in my life:-)

Seafood In Teluk Kumbar,Penang
This few days been raining and make me too lazy to wander out from home.So its happened i came across watching this Astro's Taste With Jason a documentary series about the journey to find all thos nice food in Malaysia. And it happen this episode was showing one of the Seafood Restaurant in Penang.Well i took this opportunity to record it using my WinTV-PVR USB2 Tv Tuner so that i can saved it to my Pc and then i can posted here to be share with all my friends in oversea or those who missed this episode.Well i never been to this seafood restaurant before,and planning to checked it out when i got time.Since action speak louder then words,,,,,,,,here are the recording which i make into 2 part.

My Pghk Online Friend
Last Friday met up with one of my online "Pengyu"(Friend)Laksa who came back for holiday in Penang.Even though she was damned busy with her kid and also all her overload luggage plus the long hours flight ,she was kind enough to bring back some goodies for me:-)One of it is a box of chocolate(hahahaha....by the time i write this only left with half box only...lol) 
And also a T-shirt of "HARD ROCK CAFE" Of Manchester version.Thank you Laksa!You are good in guessing my body size.Its fits so well.I will going to gave you a 'Big" treat before you left for UK..ok?As for the "HARD ROCK CAFE" T-shirt i wonder would it be nice if PGHK also have its own

My Off Day
I self apply for a leave today....:-)So after wake up at 10.00am.Well i slept late last night.I took my wife for her pregnancy check up at Penang Adventist Hospital.When its her turn to see the doctor i followed in also.While the doctor was asking her few things and do some chit chat i was sitting and listened quietly like a good little boy...hahahaha.Then when the doctor asked her to lay down down on the bed for Ultrascanning i was asked by the doctor if i wanted to watch the scanning or not.Of course i wanted too,,,,,,,hehehehe.So while the doctor was scanning the stomach he also keep on telling me and my wife(there got also extra monitor on top of the bed) ,,,,all about the baby .Like where is his or her(since i still dont know yet its going to be a boy or girl)head...leg...hand...etc.
Well the baby really very active and moved a lots.The doctor told us that he can't really check if its a boy or a girl since his or her private part was blocked by legs,,,,hehehehe.But was told by his years of experience he think will be a boy.I think he or she purposely dont wanted us to checked on its sexes in order to suprise us later....hahahaha.Anyway it was really thrilled to watch the scanning through the monitor and the baby movement.Well was told by the doctor that next appoinment he shall checked again for us to verify if its a boy or girl.Anyway as for me it doesnt matter at all either its a boy of girl.I will be very happy to have the baby came into our family and will love the baby,:-)
So after finished with the doctor appoinment.We went to Prangin Mall to buy some DVD.I manage only to bought one dvd only today.While strolling through all the shop,we came across one souvenir shop who display a pair of cute miniature.And suddenly i think of one of my online friend is getting married this week.So it will be a nice present for her.Here i posted the picture of the pair miniature......well do you think she will like it???I just hope she never came to read my blog before i give it to her .....hahahahaahah.

Today having a great time meeting up some of PGHK members at ICE ICE BABY , Auto City Prai.Some of the old "kaki" and few of the new member which met up for the very first time.Those who i met for the first time are :

Malaysia Into Space For The First Time
Congrat to Malaysia and Dr.Sheikh Muszahaphar Shukor for been the first Malaysian to space.While going through some news about this launching,manage to found some funny stuff and tradition astronauts and cosmonauts do before launching.Despite all the modern technology Russians still fall back on superstition to foreseen that all are OK.The launching will never be done on any OCT 24 cos it was day when one of their spacecraft exploded in 1980.Its also bad luck to send invitation for attending launching party before a success launch took off.Well they only will sent out after the launching,so weird........
.Imagine only sent out the invitation to attend launching party only after launching be done!Crew are not allowed to visit launch pad during the lifting of rocket launcher.Cos this can be consider bad luck.And the most important ritual are the one when the crews are on the way to the launch pad by bus have to stop at midway and conduct a ritual that has been done since Yuri Gaggarin(the first man to go to space in 1961)by crew member to "URINATE ON THE BUS TYRES".But since this trip to space got one female in the crews.So i was thinking how she going to do that.Lucky that since she is a female she may skip the ritual....hahahahaha. Imagine a female astronauts squating and pull down her cosmo suit and urinate on the bus tyres:-)

Was reading Jacky Chan's Blog and came across this funny commercial he did for one of the popluar Japanese drink call Oranamin C.Well it was stated there..dont know its true or not the drink was that popular.,,,,,hehehehe.Anyway the brand is not that important.Its is the commercial that i love .And also it came with translation note of what they are saying in the commercial video in Japanese to english:-)Here are the translation:

The Era Of The Disco In 70s
I still remember those days in 1978 when Saturday Night Fever movie was screen in Penang.The movie was screened at one of my favourite english movie cinema call REX at Burmah Road.I still recall in order to secure myself for the ticket to the show i have to took the "Yellow Bus" from my place in Jelutong in the morning all the way to Prangin Road which at present is PranginMall Shopping Complex now.Then from the bus terminal i have to walk passed another Cinema call Capitol cinema .The distance was about 10 minutes walking time.Those day traffic less.I have to be there before the Advance Ticket counter open at 10am.Usually in old days when cinema was the main entertainment, there sure to be long peoples queuing for the Advance Ticket.I have even skipped my school that day to go for the advance booking for the ticket to the show.The cinema seat was been classed then.With the upstair call as "Reserved Class".As for the downstair...they were been seperate into another three classes.There were...1st Class(Furthest from screen)2nd Class(Center)and the 3rd Class(Almost to the front of the screen).As for the price will be as follow.Reserved Class-RM2.00 1st.Class-RM1.40 2nd.Class-RM2.00 and the 3rd.Class-RM0.65.As i was a student then i always go for 2nd Class or 3rd Class sometime if i got more pocket money from my parent then i shall go for 1st.Class(Ansd also the dating of girls out time too...lol in order not too loose face...lol) But after that will have to tight waist for days,,,,hehehehe.Total i watched 5 times that movie(Saturday Night Fever)for i loved the movie very much and also need to watch it repeatly in order to learn some of the dance move by John travolta(as Tony Monero in the film).At the same time too disco was starting to be the "IN Stuff" then.Many Discotheque sprawling all over this small Penang Island.Some of the famous to name a few are...Hollywood East(basement of Hotel Malaysia),Club Tomorrow(Basement of Hotel Merlin(now Citybayview Hotel),Skyroom(at the top floor at Hotel Malaysia)The Chequer(later became Jockey Pub at Tanjong Tokong) and many more.Anyway to those who knew more of the discotheque in Penang that time can share with us here by posting them at the comment box.Anyway there are so much to write on disco era then.i can't just finish writting all here.Just some of my memory for that era i am posting and sharing here.
